Here at Psillakis surfboards there has been a buzz about certain things that have been happening in the design forum!

In this installment I will be talking about RETROS , QUADS and NEW ROCKERS.

RETROS: I spent some time in the Canary Islands, I enjoyed some great waves over there. From September through to March you can experience some of the best waves the Atlantic has to offer! But like anywhere, in the off season it can get quite ordinary. I have been working on the retro fish for quite some time now and it is a whole new lease on life. The retro makes small wave surfing fun again. Suddenly fat waves arent an issue anymore. Check out the retro fish in the models page. Your Quiver needs one!

QUADS: There has been some hype with the 4 fin (quads) lately. My team is currently testing them under all conditions and as soon as i get the feedback, i'll let you all know what the new range will consist of.

NEW ROCKERS: As a shaper it is paramount to work on new ideas, to progress. Currently I have been working on a NEW ROCKER-CONTOUR bottom with very positive feedback. It has speed under both feet, drive, hold, loosness when needed, everything that we all want and more. And above all this board has so much control, a certain aspect which is overlooked in surfboard design with the push of more speed is demanded. So this NEW ROCKER-CONTOUR will be my new standard for stock boards. Setting the standards of progression!
